Pearls: Women Who Radiate Success
On June 27, Fred Dawson’s “Pearls: Women Who Radiate Success,” was launched, featuring the stories of 21 remarkable women of influence in Delaware and Philadelphia.
Peggy DelFabbro, CEO of M. Davis & Sons (and 3rd Degree Black Belt), shared her story in chapter three.
Five generations of family leadership at M. Davis & Sons is something for which CEO Peggy Davis DelFabbro, the great-great granddaughter of its founder, Edward R. Davis, is very proud. She is quick to credit the company’s overall success to the strength and talent of her employees, and says they are the true sources of the company’s innovation and growth.
Founded in 1870 as a tinsmith shop, M. Davis is now a full-service industrial construction company. It provides design-and-build services, fabrication, engineering and maintenance for national and international clients in the oil, gas, chemical, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
Peggy began her career at M. Davis in 1987 in its accounting department, then held various titles, including controller and treasurer. She has served on the firm’s executive committee for more than two decades.
She assumed the CEO role in 2008 and works to distinguish M. Davis in the marketplace via its unwavering commitment to safety and quality. Her precise vision of M. Davis and the superior workmanship of her team has enabled the company to persevere during economically troubled times.
A graduate of the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s in business administration, Peggy is an active member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council PA-DE-SNJ chapter, including its Envoy program. She also served as a local chapter treasurer for the National Association of Women in Construction.
A socially concerned business leader, Peggy financially supports several community programs.
