ACAM2000® Start-Up Project

PROBLEM OR TASK:

To install HVAC ductwork and process piping for a packaging facility for ACAM2000®, a live virus smallpox vaccine developed by Sanofi Pasteur Biologics Co. under contract with the CDC and licensed in the U.S. by the Food and Drug Administration for active immunization against smallpox disease for persons determined to be at high risk for smallpox infection.

OUR SOLUTION OR DESCRIPTION OF WHAT WE DID:

MDavis installed both galvanized and stainless steel ductwork for the client’s packaging facility along with a new 6000 gallon Water for Injection (WFI) tank and associated piping.

UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS OF OUR WORK:

The project required extensive rework of existing ductwork to meet the required specifications, as well as modifications to ducting due to height restrictions.
