The Safety and Health Team at M Davis consists of four (4) safety professionals with a combined experience of over 50 years. Two of our safety professionals have Bachelors degrees in Safety and Health and are OSHA outreach trainers. With the commitment of the Executive committee, supervision, the employees in the field, and the safety department, M Davis maintains their injury rates and EMR well below the industry average. We also attribute our success to our auditing process.

TRAINING

All new employees go through our New Hire Orientation before entering the field. This orientation is a full day training which includes the following subjects:

Fall Protection
Confined Space
Lockout/Tagout
Ladder Safety
Basic Electrical Safety
Fire Extinguisher/Fire Watch
Hazard Communication
Incident/Accident Reporting
Basic PPE requirements

SAFETY COMMITTEE

We have a safety committee that consist mainly of field employees. This committee was designed to get involvement from the field employees in decisions that are made about safety issues. This committee has proven to help resolve issues that may not have normally been addressed and to help pass on managements commitment for safety.
