Removal of a roof section

PROBLEM OR TASK:

Removal of a section of an industrial roof in order to facilitate access to equipment inside the building.

OUR SOLUTION OR DESCRIPTION OF WHAT WE DID:

MDavis was originally contracted to remove a roof section in pieces. We reviewed the project and opted to propose removing the roof section in one large piece. This method shortened the schedule and gave the customer faster access to their equipment.

UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS OF OUR WORK:

The work required us remove the entire roof section in one piece. To do this we needed to make sure that not only was all of the structural steel separated, but also all of the siding, any utilities that ran to the roof, and the associated duct work were disconnected or clear of the operation.
